Salomé “Sal” Muñoz Moreno
Sal joins the FEAA with a strong background in nonprofit leadership, most recently as director of the Redwood Parks Conservancy. He brings practical experience in development and operations and is known for a collaborative, hands-on leadership style. Sal is committed to supporting education that helps people understand their communities, build collective power, and take action on the issues that affect their lives. He lives in Crescent City, California.

Dr. Diana Baird N’Diaye
Dr. Diana Baird N’Diaye is a multidisciplinary artist, folklife researcher, curator, and arts advocate working across continents. With decades of experience studying and curating African and African diaspora expressive culture, she treats teaching as part of her participatory art practice. She founded the African American Craft Alliance (formerly the Smithsonian’s African American Craft Initiative) and the Will to Adorn, is a Fellow of the American Folklore Society, an award-winning writer, a board member of the Center for Craft, and a Gateway Studio artist.

Ashby is a memory worker based in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to being an interviewer and advisor for the Georgia State Transgender Oral History Project, Ashby holds a full-time position as a librarian/archivist at the Highlander Research and Education Center. Ashby is also the co-founder of Georgia Dusk, a southern liberation oral history project connecting the intersections of the Black Arts movement and cultural work in Atlanta across generations. Ashby holds a bachelor’s degree from Bennington College and a master’s degree in education from Goddard College.
Communications coordinatorMari Sanborn
Mari has worked with the FEAA since 2023, beginning as the Research Coordinator for the Folk Education Network, a grant-funded community based participatory action research project. Mari most frequently assists with the layout and release of the AACA Maker's Bulletin as well as the AACA directory. She currently lives in midcoast Maine, where she also spends her time working on an organic vegetable farm. Mari graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2021 with a UK Masters degree in Sustainable Development and Social Anthropology, and worked in Washington state as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer in 2023.
